Alas, my old friend Michael has confused my acts of chivalry with being whipped. He has disgraced me as a human and fellow man, and I feel ashamed to consider him an ally. I say it now to him, despite his words earlier, that I am his friend no longer. One can only listen to the same excuses and verbal assaults for so long. I am rather glad now that he is moving, as it will be one less person to deal with in the world. While I often hope people learn from their mistakes, I know that Michael will not. And, while I do not wish for him to be alone in this world, I hope he learns to enjoy it now, as his future seems to be a life of solitude.

I will be up most of the night, finishing up work for school. If I have the time, I will compose another philosophical piece for you, dear reader. I have yet to figure out the subject of my next one, but it will probably refer to God or religion.
